2012 Riesling, Bowers Harbor Vineyards, Smokey Hollow

An exciting Michigan Riesling. On the dry side, but with the full complement of mature Riesling fruit flavors: ripe apples, baked pineapple, lemon curd, and even notes of raw honey. Pair with smoked gouda (Bronson!)

It’s exciting because Michigan Riesling doesn’t always live up to the hype. This one does. Give a taste to a sceptic.

Is it dry? Is it sweet? Answer: it’s balanced.
